Delete your Omoi account
Last updated: 16 July 2026You can delete your Omoi account and everything in it. There are two routes; both do the same thing.
1. In the app (fastest)
Settings → Account → Delete account. Confirm, and the deletion starts immediately. You do not need to contact us.
2. By email (no app needed)
Email admin@getomoi.com from the email address on your Omoi account, with the subject “Delete my account”. We verify that the request comes from the account owner, then delete the account. If you email from a different address we will ask you to verify ownership first — this protects you from someone else deleting your data.
Cancel your subscription first. If you subscribe to Omoi Pro, deleting your Omoi account does not cancel the subscription — Apple and Google bill it, so it must be cancelled with them. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
What gets deleted
Everything personal to you:
- Your account and login credentials.
- Notes, voice recordings, photos, files and links you captured — including the attachments in our file storage.
- Tasks, events, projects, goals, habits, learning items, journal entries and weekly reviews.
- Expenses, budgets, receipts, auto-captured transactions and Split records.
- AI-generated titles, tags, summaries and search embeddings derived from your content.
- Push notification tokens and device records.
How long it takes
Your account and content become inaccessible immediately. All personal data is deleted from our systems within 30 days, and from encrypted backups within 90 days as those backups roll over.
What is kept
Nothing that identifies you, with one exception: records of subscription purchases that we are required to keep for tax and accounting law. We never store raw bank SMS in the first place, so there is none to delete. Full detail: Privacy Policy §6.
Deletion is permanent. There is no undo and no export — once it’s gone, it’s gone.
