Omoi Terms of Service

1. The agreement

These terms are a contract between you and Abhiraj Sinha, [REGISTERED ADDRESS], India (“Omoi”, “we”) governing the Omoi app and website. By creating an account you accept them. If you don’t accept them, don’t use Omoi. If you download Omoi from Apple’s App Store, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the extent it grants you more protection.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 (or the age of digital consent where you live), give accurate information, and keep your credentials secret. You’re responsible for activity under your account. One account per person.

3. Your content is yours

Everything you capture in Omoi — notes, photos, recordings, journal entries, financial records — remains yours. You grant us only the limited license needed to operate the service: to store, back up, process (including AI processing described in the Privacy Policy), and display your content to you and, for shared-expense (Split) records, to the participants you choose. We claim no other rights, and this license ends when you delete the content or your account (subject to the backup windows in the Privacy Policy).

4. AI features

Omoi uses AI to title, tag, summarize, categorize, transcribe, and answer questions about your content. AI output can be wrong. It is provided for convenience and is not professional, financial, tax, legal, or medical advice. Financial figures (budgets, balances, Split settlements, auto-captured transactions) are computational aids — verify anything that matters against your bank. You are responsible for decisions made using Omoi.

5. Omoi Pro — subscriptions

Omoi Pro is an auto-renewing subscription: ₹299/month or ₹1,999/year in India; $4.99/month or $34.99/year elsewhere (local prices shown at purchase; taxes may apply; prices can change with notice — changes apply from your next renewal, and the store will ask you to confirm where required).
Free trial: new subscribers get a 7-day free trial. You are charged when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), not by us. Billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are governed by their terms; manage your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. If a subscription lapses, Pro features lock but your data is never deleted or held hostage — everything you created stays accessible in the free tier.
Free tier limits (currently 100 AI-processed notes/month) may be adjusted with notice; captured content is never lost when a limit is reached.

6. Acceptable use

Don’t: break the law with the service, upload malware, probe or overload our systems, reverse-engineer the app except where law permits, resell the service, or use it to violate others’ privacy or IP. We may suspend accounts that do.

7. Bank SMS & financial features

SMS expense capture (Android) requires your explicit permission and works as described in the Privacy Policy. Omoi is not a bank, payment service, or financial adviser; Split balances are records between you and your friends, not payment obligations we process or guarantee.

When you choose “Pay with UPI”, Omoi only opens your own UPI app with the details pre-filled; the payment is made by you, through your bank, and Omoi is not a party to it. We never touch, hold, route or instruct funds, and we cannot see whether a payment succeeded — a settlement is recorded only when you tell us it happened. Contacts, if you grant access, are read on your device only and are never uploaded; only the people you explicitly add to a group are sent to us.

8. Termination

You can delete your account anytime (in-app or via our account-deletion page). We may suspend or terminate accounts for material breach of these terms, with notice where practicable. On termination your data is deleted per the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers & liability

Omoi is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or ₹2,000 if you paid nothing). Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including under Indian consumer-protection law.

10. Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India; courts at [CITY], India have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.

11. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be notified in the app at least 15 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance.
